So many of our favorite
songs are connected with our most cherished memories. Through them we again feel
the happiness of childhood or the thrill of our first love. We experience a
sense of comfort when they remind us of the times when our families were still
together. They even return the poignancy that we felt while living through
important world events. By singing the SONGS WE CAN'T FORGET, Fred Walker helps
our senior citizens live happier, more rewarding days. Fred says, "I like to
talk to people as if I were sitting right next to them."
He chooses each
song with care and often includes an historical sketch that may describe
its composer, the era in which it was written, or the style in which it
is most often performed. His own performance of these vintage pieces is
delivered in a fine tenor voice accompanied by an acoustic guitar. On
occasion he adds a ukulele, harmonica, autoharp or another fun
instrument. He takes requests, encourages sing-a-Iongs, and he is easy
to understand.
Fred's
performance and the memories that it provokes can linger far beyond the
time that his audience actually spends listening to and singing along
with the SONGS WE CAN'T FORGET.
